Marie-Mam Sai Bellier (1994) is a Paris-based French-Gambian type designer, artist, lecturer, and researcher. A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, her transdisciplinary practice reimagines writing beyond the Latin alphabet, blending typography, materiality, and visual storytelling. Founder of Diorama Type Partners and a member of the post-binary collective Bye Bye Binary, she works with leading clients and artists across contemporary art, fashion, music, design and creating bespoke typefaces, visual identities, artistic direction, and image concepts. In 2025, she develops a visual identity built from printable wooden sculptures during her residency at CAC Les Capucins, extending her research into a “New Art Nouveau.” Her recent solo exhibitions include L’Amour en cage (CAC Passages, 2025), Die and Retry (Hôtel Van Eetvelde, 2025), and Cœur de Marie (Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nancy, 2025–2026).
